MOUNT HOMBORI

MALI: Mount Hombori is located in the Hombori Tondo region of Mali, West Africa. It consists of an inaccessible tableland of about 2 km square located south of Timbuktu (Mali), at the border between the Sahara desert and the Sahel area. It has a number of caves that were inhabited over 2,000 years ago.

Due to the high cliffs surrounding its summit plateau, its flora and fauna has been preserved from pasture and agriculture.
