Prof. Clement Masakure

Prof. Clement Masakure is an accomplished historian focusing on African history, particularly in the areas of health, healing, and the histories of hospitals and their workers in southern Africa. He is a co-editor for Historia, the Journal of the Historical Association of South Africa.

Prof. Clement Masakure’s scholarly works appear in several reputable journals, including African Studies Quarterly, Historia, and the South African Historical Journal.

He earned his BA Honours, and MA in African Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe, and completed his Ph.D. in History at the University of Minnesota, USA specializing in African History, Development Studies, and African American History.
