JOB PURPOSE:
The ICT Officer shall oversee the Secretariat’s interactions with the public by implementing online content strategies.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular website maintenance and content management
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily across social media accounts
- Plan and develop social media campaigns to build a community online.
- Craft compelling social media content
- Collaborate with the research and editorial team to ensure that social media is used to support the overall business goals.
- Engage with stakeholders on different channels
- Generate analytic reports and interpret data
- Monitor and respond to comments and questions
- Connect current news and events to service provision and delivery
- Perform any other duties as may be required
QUALIFICATION
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication Studies, or related field from a recognized university.
EXPERIENCE
- Have 3 or more years of social media experience in planning and managing content
- Proven track record of growing and retaining social media audiences
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience with web design and publishing
- A grasp of the latest SEO best practices, website security, and an eye for design
- Have excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
- Experience with all current Adobe Creative Suite applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and other relevant programs and technologies
- Proven ability and experience in the production of online video content
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
